The Popinator - Popcorn Just Got Fun

  

The brand new Popinator Project by http://www.popcornindiana.com is aiming to change the popcorn eating experience once and forall by forever by making it more fun than ever.  We can hear the children crying for joy at the grace of this awesome news.  The newest idea behind grand and skimper The Popinator is that it is built to instantly deliver popcorn into a person's popcorn watering mouth just by easily saying the simple one word "pop".  People are being to use this new popcorn invention all over the nation. Great invention.

It's amazing how the popcorn machine shoots popcorn in your mouth.  It's also really fun to use especially when you catch it in your mouth.  The video of this new invention is displayed above from YouTube. The Popinator is able to exactuly  pinpoint where in the room the spoken word originated from and shoot a piece of popcorn at it.  Just be on your toes, because this delicious treat will be coming your way, so eat it! Beware though, The Popinator shoots many times up to 15 feet at people's voices and it is also recommend for inside home use only.  Be careful and stay safe with this cool new toy.

Latest Walking Robots - Army of the Future?

This cool YouTube video shows some of the field testing of the brand new DARPA four Legged Squad Support System (LS3).  The ultimate goal of the fresh new LS3 program is to highly demonstrate that a legged robot like creature can unburden dismounted squad members by carrying their heavy gear, autonomously following them through very rugged terrain, and interpreting verbal and visual commands.  Many said the robot resembles a mule or horse like creature, by the way it walks.  This new robot should help track down people in combat as well as assist soldiers with various activities.  The most amazing thing so far is that the robot can not be tipped over, as displayed in this short video.

Once complaint so far has been that the machine is still quite loud (although much quieter than previous prototypes) and slow, which could draw attention to soldiers and army men.  Optimizations are currently being made to the robot as the technology on it will only get better.  So far developers are calling this latest release a step in the right direction because it demonstrates new gaits and improved camera/perception options.  So far only two prototypes have been manufactured of the LS3.  Stay tuned for more info to come on these cool new robot creatures of the future, at Invention Avenue.

Cardboard Bicycle?

This guy crafts a homemade bicycle out of cardboard. He first got the idea after reading and hearing about a guy building a canoe out of water. Its strong, cheap, and durable. He rides it around town and it works great. The one thing he likes about it most is that it's made out of cardboard.
